CMS 8th Grader Takes 6th at Midwest Spelling Bee

Every year nearly 100 of the best spellers from Nebraska and western-Iowa meet in Omaha to compete in the Midwest Spelling Bee competition, which is part of the SCRIPPS National Spelling Bee competition.  To qualify, students must win their district/county spelling bees.

This year, Shoilee Rhaman, an 8th grade student from Chadron Middle School, represented Dawes County.  Shoilee made it to the final round of 10 and ended up taking 6th place!

Congratulations to Shoilee on her outstanding achievement.
