Important Back to School Dates

I hope that everyone has had a fantastic summer break! Chadron Middle School is gearing up for another excellent school year and we are excited to see all of our students again. Below are some important back-to-school dates to keep in mind as August approaches. If you have any questions, please email Mr. Dressel at nichlas.dressel@chadronschools.net or call the Middle School office at 432-0708.
August 7th-11th - Students can drop off school supplies in their lockers. Please take advantage of this opportunity because we will have an all-school assembly on the first day of school at 8:00 in the gym. Students will not be allowed in the building until after the assembly is over.
August 7th and 8th @ 6 PM - Karen Hasse with KSB Law Firm will present information about cyber safety in the CHS Auditorium. Ms. Hasse is an excellent presenter with a ton of experience and I highly recommend that all parents and students attend one of the two presentations.
August 9th @ 6 PM- 5th grade student/parent orientation in the CMS gym. We will cover everything that students and parents need to know about CMS including communication protocols, how to access school information online and the T.H.I.N.K. Cardinal Pride Positive Behavior Intervention Support Program.
August 10th - @ 6 PM - 6th-8th grade student/parent orientation in the CMS gym. We will review communication protocols, how to access school information online and the T.H.I.N.K. Cardinal Pride Positive Behavior Intervention Support Program.
August 16th - First Day of school. Parents should drop off students on the playground (Ann Street) on the west side of the building by 7:55. We will have an all-school assembly at 8 AM in the gym where we will welcome back students, review CMS expectations and introduce the T.H.I.N.K. Cardinal Pride Positive Behavior Intervention Support Program. Students will receive their schedules at the end of the assembly.
August 16th-18th - 1:30 dismissal
August 21st - Solar eclipse celebration. Students will gather on the CHS practice field during the lunch hour to watch the eclipse.
