Chadron Public Schools Website gets a Makeover!

The CPS website got an extreme makeover and the new site is up and running.  You can check it out at http://www.chadronschools.org/.  CPS tech has been working hard to get the new site up and we are very excited about the new look and all of the new features.

In addition to the new, attractive look, many changes have been made to the site to make it more user friendly. To start, the new site is mobile friendly!  You will see the mobile site layout if you access the site from your cell phone or mobile device.  You will also notice new, easy to read, buttons for access to school announcements, the campus portal, menus, and calendars.  There is a parent drop down menu where links to the handbook, registration, documents and forms can be found.  Parents can also access individual school information by selecting the 'Schools' drop down menu and choosing the school that they would like to browse.

2012-13 CMS NeSA Results

A Summary of Chadron Middle School's 2012-13 NeSA Test Results:

• CMS students posted excellent NeSA Math scores with all four grades, exceeding the State average.
• CMS 8th graders improved the percentage of students meeting or exceeding standard on the NeSA Writing test, equaling the State average.
• CMS 5th and 8th graders posted excellent NeSA Science scores with both grades, exceeding the State average.
• CMS 6th and 8th graders improved on NeSA Reading from 2011-12, but 5th and 7th grade dipped.  The overall percent of of students that met/exceeded standard remained the same from 2011-12.

Breakdown of Percent Meeting/Exceeding Standard by Test and Grade Level:

• CMS 6th Grade - 83%     State - 67%
• CMS 7th Grade - 79%     State - 70%

• CMS had 7 PERFECT scores!

September 4th is School Picture Day

School pictures are on September 4th.  Students will take their pictures in the morning, beginning with 5th grade students and working up to 8th grade students.  Pictures will be taken in the CMS library.

Lifetouch has been contracted to take pictures.  Students will be sent home with picture packets on Thursday, August 29th.  Students should bring their picture order forms and money to school on picture day.  The office will not hold order forms and money for students.  If you prefer to order pictures online, please use the link below to access the Lifetouch website.
