Dear
Parents/Guardians:

The following 8th grade students will have one or more of their poems published: Alison Gardner, Kaci Waugh, Michael Giesler, Spencer Margetts, Walter Mays, Cassie Sloan, and Kiana Wright. Congratulations to these students and there will be more opportunities for 8th graders to submit written pieces for publication next semester.
There is a 6th-12th
grade vocal and instrumental concert on December 20th in the Chadron
High School auditorium. The band concert
will begin at 6 PM and the choir concert will begin at 7:30. We are looking forward to some great holiday
music to get us into the Christmas spirit.
On December 11th,
8th grade students participated in the Chadron High School’s FBLA
Monopoly game. The purpose of the game
was to teach students about the value of money and commerce. The FBLA club did an excellent job organizing
the event and it was a lot of fun. Thank
you to all of the local businesses that set up booths for the game and to FBLA
for including the 8th graders.
On December 18th, we will begin construction in room 103 in the middle school. Room 103 is the old Industrial Technology room and it is being converted into a flexible space where students will be able to gather on cold mornings and during lunch when it is too cold to go outside.
